Scans Not Bundling Properly

Check Destination Settings

If your scans are not bundling properly, the first thing to check is that your destination settings are correct, and Scan Bundling is enabled:

Destination Symbols Properly Marked 

For bundled scans, please make sure that you are either marking the same destination symbol on each page, or leaving the bottom portion of your pages completely clear of any writing. Regardless of if you are marking symbols or not to select your destination, best practice is always to end your notes before the end of the dot grid / lines on your pages, as anything written below this point will be automatically cropped out of your processed images. 

 

 

Smart Title Bundle Settings

Please also be mindful of your general scan settings for bundling, found under Settings > Handwriting Recognition (OCR).

 

If the "Use Smart Titles to group scans" option is toggled on, every new title detected will result in a new bundle being created. This can cause issues with broken bundles you are using Smart Titles on multiple pages, or if you are using a book that features a Smart Title Bar, and writing over the title space on multiple pages.  

 

 

Other Causes

Additionally, please be sure to scan your pages in a well lit environment.  Though it's unlikely, a shadow cast across the destination symbols on your page may cause the same issues.
